Photo Essay: Chinese Dance in America

For 8 years, I have been following the lives and works of three dancers who have been teaching traditional Chinese dance in America.  Through tireless efforts, these women have one common goal: to share the beauty of the art form with the world.  These three women, who have immigrated to the U.S. from Taiwan, Hongkong, and China, offer dance classes to those who are interested (some free of charge), and travel to present Chinese dance to the western audience.  Here are some images from the photo essay about their work and lives.
